Liberty County is one of the fastest growing counties in Georgia. The combination of Fort Stewart and new industry fuel this growth for Liberty County and the City of Hinesville. In an effort to attract new industry and keep ex-military personnel in the economic base, Liberty County and the City of Hinesville funded a satellite campus of Savannah Technical College.Hinesville, Georgia
DTAE commissioned Lott+Barber to develop a master campus plan targeting a site in the heart of Hinesville’s growth region. The plan evaluated the current and future programs and proposed a series of organized development. The study also evaluated the property zoning, wetlands delineation, and utility availability including water, sewer, telephone, natural gas, cable and power.
The campus buildings are organized around a central pedestrian student plan. Vehicular traffic and parking are organized around the perimeter of the site. The master plan development encompasses 104,500 square feet and is estimated to cost approximately $15 million over the next 7 to 10 years.
