STATESBORO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE

Lott + Barber recently began working with the City of Statesboro on the update to their Comprehensive Plan, according to the Local Planning Requirements as developed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Responsibilities will include project management of all activities for the municipality as they relate to the planning process. Lott + Barber will be responsible for:Statesboro, Georgia
- Data collection and assessment of existing conditions
- Public participation, including facilitation of stakeholder meetings and public workshops
- Ensuring consistency with DCA planning requirements and deadlines
- Create all elements of the comprehensive plan narrative
- Create existing and future land use maps
- Working with city staff to develop short and long-term planning strategies for implementation
As part of the public participation program, Lott + Barber is conducting individual interviews with key community stakeholders and developing a community-wide survey, in addition to working with a 15-member steering committee and organizing public workshops.
